Coffee House OutreachThe 4 days I spent in Paris to explore the possibility of starting an outreach was very productive. I met with numerous ministries working within Paris and was encouraged by their success as well as their enthusiasm for my vision. However, the challenging side of things is that I was overwhelmed with the cost. I knew Paris would be expensive ? but it is astronomical. Granted all things are possible with God and if He wants me there, He will provide the means to be there. I wasn?t discouraged but rather motivated to consider other options. Just to give you... Counting & NetworkingWhat's Counting Got To Do With It? Well, try as I might to set this aside, God continues to show me that my accounting background is part of His ministry. He developed my skills for a reason over a 15 year career before sending me to the mission field. The ministries and missionaries here have significant need for accounting and tax assistance because of complex issues dealing with being overseas. The issues bog them down in time, frustration and stress. Yet for me, because of God?s design, it is something that comes more easily. Recently I was invited to the... Jehovah Witness Ministry (update)Jehovah Witness Ministry (update) I continue to meet with one Jehovah Witness lady (Patrizia) plus one other as they rotate turns (JW?s never meet one on one). Amazingly, we?ve been meeting now for 3 years. I?ve learned enough about their beliefs to I?m continually asked why I still meet with her. 1) As long as she and the other ladies are talking to me, they are not misleading someone else. 2) She has proved to be a consistent and loyal language partner since we talk weekly in French for 2 hours on Biblical issues. 3) God has used it to... Baptism at L?Eglise d?Albertville (church)L?Eglise d?Albertville (www.eglise-albertville.net) I can now say I feel that the church to which I belong in France has become my church home. It only took 4 years ? but things move slowly in France. I now sing every Sunday to help lead worship. I sing with a headset mic along with two wonderful French men who play the guitar. We have a drummer most Sundays and occasionally an incredible saxophone player who plays while his daughter dangles her legs harnessed to his back. His wife is normally leading the kids? Sunday school. I am truly thrilled with this new... |
