"Kosova" ... Updated
The Balkan War ended in Kosovo with UN intervention. The destruction was severe and hundreds of thousands displaced and returning from refugee camps. Our team joined the relief effort in 2000. However, one trip was not enough for me since I fell in love with the beautiful people in the town of Peja and the village of Qyshk. So I returned every year through 2004.
The culture is primarily Kosovar Albanian of a Muslim background - though few actually practice the religion.
