A Miracle Sunday (Praises)
A Miracle Sunday
I have shared in previous emails about a 24-aged girl named Maud who is the daughter of my landlord. Maud is truly seeking, mostly triggered after being diagnosed bi-polar. Since I have battled clinical depression most my life, God used this reality as a bridge to form a relationship with Maud and her parents.
Now, keep in mind that I shared previously that I have repeatedly asked French friends and acquaintances to join me for a Sunday at one of our church plants. The reaction is consistently similar to asking someone to explore Dracula?s cave ? truly! But last Sunday, Maud called in the morning and asked if she could go with me to church. I just about dropped the phone! We went, had a wonderful time, enjoyed the French pastor?s message and then we invited several other ladies to join us for a picnic. She was even willing to pray with us to bless the food.
Sadly, she ended our event by expressing a desire to visit the local Buddhist camp to further her search. I am certain that if she in fact does visit, she will find it an empty and shallow substitute to what Christ offers through His church. Please keep Maud in your prayers as well as her parents. They are all very dear friends.
