10/06 Gave Testimony (Rad Sheep)

Testimony Given at Church Plant

A few Sunday?s back, I had the privilege to share my testimony in a local TEAM church plant.  A wonderful woman in the church translated.  I invited several of my new French friends, but sadly, the reaction was as though I had just invited them to explore Dracula?s cave.  Most reactions were, ?we prefer to do non-religious activities.?  I asked, ?So if I were to get married (no? not suggesting anything!) in France, in a church, would you attend??  And the reply was ? ?we would greet you as you left the church and join you at the reception??  The thought of walking into a church sends cold shivers over most of the people I have met. 

My landlord and his wife, who are the closest of my new friends and yet the most cynical and stubborn about Christianity, informed me they would not attend? however, miraculously that Sunday morning they walked through the little church?s doors for the first time!!!!  Not only did they listen to my testimony but stayed through the entire service.  They have not been back but that was a huge step ? and a significant strengthening for our friendship bond.  I got tears in my eyes when I saw them and rushed to their side to greet and thank them.  We sat together through the service.  Praise God!!!!
